Introduction
The International Sophrology Federation (ISF) is a non-profit membership organisation dedicated to setting high professional standards for English-speaking sophrologists around the work. The ISF maintains a directory of trained practitioners involved in the provision of sophrology.
Membership with the ISF is voluntary and is not subject to statutory regulation.
ISF Members agree to uphold our Code of Ethics as a condition of their membership. The Code of Ethics represents the main point of reference for decisions in professional conduct hearings. It can be found at: ISF Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct as at April 2024.docx
The ISF can handle the following types of concerns and complaints:
- A sophrology session provided by an ISF member.
- Concerns about a member’s conduct outside of a sophrology session (such as inappropriate behaviour or a criminal conviction unrelated to their professional practice).
We are unable to deal with:
- Individuals who were not ISF members at the time of the incident.
- Matters of a legal nature or claims for compensation.
